10 week pre-apprenticeship program to kick start your career as a chef...
Start your masterful cooking journey
Have you thought about a career in hospitality? Maybe you've always dreamed of being a chef, but you are unsure about how to do it? Do you want to give it a try?
The Restaurant & Catering Industry Association (R&CA) and Discover Hospitality
have developed a 10-week pre-apprenticeship program to kick-start your career. The program will run throughout Sydney where students will undertake three days of study and two days of real-life experience work in a restaurant or café each week.
At the end of the 10-week program, participants will be one quarter of the way through their SIT30812 Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery and will be offered an opportunity to continue as an apprentice and complete their certificate to become a qualified trade chef.
The training will be delivered by the Restaurant & Catering Industry Association of Australia RTO (Toid6868)
During the training, you will be learning trade skills and cooking dishes from menu's in a professional kitchen. The goal of the program is for all participants to become apprentice cooks, hopefully in the same workplace where they had their work placement.
Experience the satisfaction of being part of a team that every day contributes to their customers' happiness and wellbeing doing something you love.
The pre-apprenticeship program, is one of many initiatives R&CA and the teams at Discover Hospitality and Discover Your Career are doing to bridge the employment gap bringing businesses and genuine career seekers who are skilled or are willing to be trained, together.
If you are a parent, careers adviser, a student, job active provider or someone who is interested in a career as a chef or in the hospitality industry we urge you to get in touch to find out more about the up-coming 10-week program or about the other options available to work and study in the industry.
You can call R&CA on 1300 722 878 or send an email to email@example.com
