Classes will return to newly named Lilydale Lakeside campus!
Classes will return to the newly named Lilydale Lakeside campus site in February 2016 with Box Hill Institute working in partnership with William Angliss Institute and Deakin University to deliver outstanding education in the Yarra Valley.
Minister for Training and Skills Steve Herbert joined Minister for Education James Merlino and Minister for Children and Families Jenny Mikakos at the Lilydale campus to make the announcement of the new name plus an additional $10 million for Box Hill Institute to fast-track the new Children’s Centre and Biosecurity Centre of Excellence.
William Angliss Institute will provide expertise in its specialist areas of foods, tourism and hospitality, complementing Box Hill Institute's role in the project.
The courses on offer from William Angliss Institute include:
Certificate II in Hospitality Kitchen Operations (VET in Schools)
Certificate II in Hospitality (VET in Schools)
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery – on campus and apprenticeship
Certificate III in Tourism
Diploma of Travel and Tourism
Diploma of Hospitality
The Certificate III in Commercial Cookery will be offered as both a full-time course and as an apprenticeship program and the Certificate III in Tourism and Diploma of Travel and Tourism will have a focus on wine tourism.
A number of short courses will also be available to all members of the community and industry, especially those looking to develop specialist skills in food preparation and food service.
