A Diploma of Events qualification will help you develop the knowledge and skills required to undertake event management processes and a broad range of skills to coordinate event operations.
You will operate independently and make operational event management decisions.
As events are diverse in nature this qualification provides you with a pathway to work in events in a range of industries including the tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors. You may work in event management companies, event venues, or organisations that organise their own events.
You may work in an office environment where the planning of events takes place, on-site at venues where events are staged or a combination of both.

QTIC Tourism Indigenous Employment Champions Network
The QTIC Tourism Indigenous Employment Champions Network, supported by The Star Entertainment Group, aims to support tourism employers to recruit and retain Indigenous employees. The Network is a group of volunteer tourism operators that have exhibited best practice in the recruitment and retention of Indigenous employment.
Together with the Champions, QTIC have developed a range of resources for tourism operators, presented at numerous industry conferences, facilitated industry forums, provided tourism industry career path information to Indigenous students and job seekers, and identified Indigenous employment placements within the industry.
