Food and Beverage candidates interested in working in our quick service outlets will also have a chance to attend a practical interview for work available during the Summer School holidays.

What positions are available?

1.  A la Carte Restaurant Wait, Bar and Floor Service Staff - ongoing work

With an extensive wine list and panoramic views of Harbour Bridge, The Deck Sydney is the most picturesque destination on this side of the harbour.

We require passionate Hospitality experts with 3+ years of bar and/or waiter experience, who have a service-first attitude and are committed to providing exceptional and memorable dining experiences.

Mixing popular cocktails, popping corks behind the bar, or delivering our restaurant’s 5 star a la carte menu options to our guests. You could also be delivering polished service to our guests at our award winning Ferris Wheel dining experience season, an experience you will not find anywhere else in Australia!

A la Carte Restaurant Wait, Bar and Floor Service Staff must be seasoned professionals, having held similar positions in reputable restaurants.


Waiters: must know how to carry at least 3 plates and provide formal table service, open and pour a bottle of wine at the table and detailed knowledge of Australian wines is essential. 


Bar staff: must have cocktail mixing experience, top shelf spirits and of course be proficient at pouring a craft beer on tap.


2.  Retail Food & Beverage Attendants, Cooks and Event Bar Staff – School Holidays shifts. Applicants may also be offered ongoing work at the completion of the School Holiday period.


In the first instance the Retail Food & Beverage Attendants, Grill Cooks and Event Bar Staff shifts are only required for seasonal work in the lead up to and during the summer months.


Our Retail F&B positions serve up everything from delicious fun park favourites including burgers, pizzas & salads, learning the art of ice-cream service to fairy floss spinning, coffee service, and behind the bar for special events and music festivals. You will assist in the efficient operation of our bistro, ice-cream parlour and fast food outlets in the park in the positions of Grill/Fryer Cooks, Baristas, Bar staff, Food Attendants & Cashiers, or stock runner.


All applicants must:


Be well presented, with a vibrant, fun-loving personality and a warm, smile as big as our trademark face.

Be able to speak and understand both written and verbal instructions in English. These positions have direct guest contact and require the ability to fluently converse in English.

Have permission to work in Australia, visa applicants also welcome.

Be available to work a variety of shifts during our operational hours including Friday, Saturday and Sundays, morning and/or evening shifts.

Have obtained a current NSW RSA competency card (essential for all positions).

When are the interviews taking place?

The practical interview will be held on:  Friday 17th November 5pm and 7pm. You should allow up to 2 hours to participate in each stage of the process.  If you can’t make it on any of these dates, unfortunately there are no alternate dates available at this stage.

Where are the interviews being held?

At Luna Park’s Big Top Foyer Bar 1 &2. Simply walk through the entry face and follow the signs to recruitment interviews.

Do I need to book an interview time?

Yes. Register now and select a time you wish to attend, on Friday 17th November at 5pm or 7pm, and come to Luna Park on the day and time you have chosen.
