Sous Chef

We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to help our Head Chef/owner run our expanding business in Maleny. We have been operating now for 7 years in lawyer street as an award winning establishment. With plans to scale up the business and increase sales in every department by 35% over the next 3 years we are looking for a talented Sous Chef that can help support us and our team with this growth.


We operate 5 days a week lunch & dinner.Our lunch menu offers more bistro style foods, homemade burgers and freshly prepared salads. Whereas the dinner menu offers more restaurant influenced dishes, like own very popular Seafood risotto with scallops, prawns, calamari, mussels, rocket, parmesan & our very own orange vincotto dressingOur Head Chef/Owner Chris Bond is a Patisserie chef by trade and has worked in five star hotels and restaurants back in England.He created his own recipe for a versatile balsamic dressing back in 2000 which we are now selling in IGA's and gourmet deli's Australia wide. We currently see a 30% increase in sales with this product every year. We also make all our own pasta & stocks and use our local suppliers, butchers and farmers as much as we can.So we are looking for someone with the following attributes that can help support and lead our team into the phase of our growing business.

Must haves;Previous experience in an A la carte kitchenPrevious experience is costing dishes/menus Be able to work weekends & split shifts 


Possible future opportunities for the right person;Head chef position when our current head chef/owner's responsibilities change and needs to become our full time productions manager for the balsamic dressings
