Latest Survey results show tourism continues boom!

The International Visitor Survey (IVS) shows international visitor spend continuing to experience record growth.

Australia is an increasingly popular destination - particularly from China and other Asian countries.

Australian tourism is a leading jobs and career generator - and there is a real need for both skilled and unskilled workers to service the growing visitor numbers.

Beyond the current growth, it is forecast that over the next 10 years, the travel and tourism industry will grow faster than other industries.

According to the latest figures from Tourism Research Australia:

  •   international visitors increased by 9 per cent to 7.1 million;

  •   visitor nights increased by 8 per cent to 248 million; and

  •   expenditure increased by 17 per cent to $37.9 billion.
