Meet QTIC's intern Shanshan Fan
As an international student from China, my name is Shanshan Fan and it is my last semester of a Master Degree of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management at The University of Queensland. I have enjoyed my major so far and look forward to working in the exciting tourism industry.
Before coming to the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), I completed internships with Ecotourism Australia, Brisbane Marketing (Brisbane Visitor Information Centre), Travello App and Live For Travel as well as being involved in the 2016 Australia Tourism Exchange as the interpreter. Through these experiences, I have enjoyed learning different insights into the tourism industry in Australia and feel inspired to continue my journey in the tourism industry.
As the peak industry body for tourism in Queensland, I feel honoured to join the great team at QTIC as an intern. I’m looking forward to learning more about team participation, dynamics and project coordination and feel that my time at QTIC will help me to build a long-term career path in the tourism industry on a global platform. I’m very proud of my Chinese background and look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with the team – I love meeting new people, learning and having fun along the way!
