Our award-winning programs will equip you with skills and knowledge in a range of subjects, from onsite event management to project scheduling and supplier management.
Throughout our courses there are opportunities to work across a variety of specialties and events – everything from international sporting events to festivals and conferences.
Our events programs are strengthened by affiliations with industry and a curriculum that includes involvement at a number of international events. Possibilities may include working at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, the Spring Racing Carnival and a range of other key events on the Melbourne event calendar. You will also attend conferences, networking and excursions.
The Institute’s events courses were awarded Best Training Program at The Australian Event awards in 2013, and named finalists in 2014 and 2015, highlighting the innovation and excellence within our programs.

QLD Young Tourism Leaders

QTIC Tourism Indigenous Employment Champions Network
The QTIC Tourism Indigenous Employment Champions Network, supported by The Star Entertainment Group, aims to support tourism employers to recruit and retain Indigenous employees. The Network is a group of volunteer tourism operators that have exhibited best practice in the recruitment and retention of Indigenous employment.
Together with the Champions, QTIC have developed a range of resources for tourism operators, presented at numerous industry conferences, facilitated industry forums, provided tourism industry career path information to Indigenous students and job seekers, and identified Indigenous employment placements within the industry.
