Sydney TAFE delivers quality education for quality careers in Tourism & Hospitality
Sydney TAFE’s Tourism and Hospitality Faculty has had a bumper 2015! A record total of 6 industry awards have been won this year by both the Faculty and individual students reflecting the high standard .
Most recently, Travel and Tourism won bronze at the NSW Tourism Awards. These prestigious awards celebrate tourism businesses that have demonstrated outstanding achievement throughout the year. Why not study Travel and Tourism yourself, so that you too can win an award at both the State awards and the national gala event, the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
In October Sydney TAFE's Going Global program won the 2015 Australian Multicultural Marketing Awards Education Award. These are national awards recognising multicultural marketing campaigns that are innovative and successful. It is wonderful to be acknowledged for Sydney TAFE’s highly successful and popular international study tours that have taken students across the globe from New York to LA, Germany to Denmark, Indonesia, India and Korea.
In November Sydney TAFE won first place for best education and training program Diploma of Events at the Australian Event Awards. As events are diverse in nature this qualification provides you with a pathway to work in events in a range of industries including the tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors. You may work in event management companies, event venues, or organisations that organise their own events. You may work in an office environment where the planning of events takes place, on-site at venues where events are staged or a combination of both.
Sydney TAFE students reaped a record haul of awards this year showcasing excellence and high achievement.
