Regency International Centre is a world-class facility that delivers training in cookery, hospitality, bakery, butchery, fitness & tourism and food processing.
In addition, it proudly boasts a state-of-the-art brewery, cheese-making facility, coffee academy and winery, and runs industry-based courses through these facilities. The centre also includes training facilities such as Graduates Restaurant and Results Cafe.
The centre trains some 8000 students annually, either on campus, in industry, or through our online programs.
Industry Description - Food and Beverage
Careers in food-processing and wine industries provide an exciting challenge in the 21st Century. The food and beverage industry includes careers in the meat, seafood, wine, dairy (including cheese making), olive oil production, confectionery, aerated waters, brewing industries and involves, in many instances, being able to cook, bake, operate in a food laboratory completing chemical and microbiological testing.
Development of new food and beverages is creative, while technical skills in the production of nutritional, functional and safe foods through quality control are also taught. Careers can encompass wine processing workers, wine tourism, cellar door sales, retail butchering, meat processing, smallgoods or cheese manufacture, brewing and food technology.

QTIC Tourism Indigenous Employment Champions Network
The QTIC Tourism Indigenous Employment Champions Network, supported by The Star Entertainment Group, aims to support tourism employers to recruit and retain Indigenous employees. The Network is a group of volunteer tourism operators that have exhibited best practice in the recruitment and retention of Indigenous employment.
Together with the Champions, QTIC have developed a range of resources for tourism operators, presented at numerous industry conferences, facilitated industry forums, provided tourism industry career path information to Indigenous students and job seekers, and identified Indigenous employment placements within the industry.
