Three Diplomas, One Year? Yes, it’s Possible!

If you are excited about the idea of working across several industries where job roles often intertwine, we have a solution. William Angliss offers the Diplomas in Travel and Tourism, Events and Hospitality  course, giving you triple the career opportunities and triple the fun.

William Angliss Institute Sydney has launched an exciting new qualification that rolls three diplomas into one year of study. The Diplomas in Travel and Tourism, Events and Hospitality are bundled into one course, allowing students to build specialist knowledge across all these key subjects. It incorporates core and elective units from all three diplomas and these are woven together to provide students with exposure to each element in as much depth as possible.

It’s perfect for anyone who has aspirations of launching a global career in any of these fields, as the subjects are structured so that many units are common across all three qualifications, with many electives then also specifically chosen to allow students to gain an understanding of other key practical elements, e.g. wine tourism, managing in-house and on-site events, operating a bar and using industry standard tools to book domestic and international airfares.

Whether you’d like to make the most of industry opportunities closer to home or have dreams of working off-shore, you will be well equipped to begin a role that requires you to be dynamic and multi-talented.

If you're interested in knowing more about your options, see what subjects are involved in the Diplomas of tourism and travel, events and hospitality or read this article about what career options are on offer and why being multi-skilled will improve your chances of securing that dream job.

There are regular intakes throughout the year, so if this sounds like the perfect career path for you, apply now!

Sydney's ICC wins national infrastructure award

Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC Sydney) at Darling Harbour has been named Australia’s best infrastructure project at the Infrastructure Partnerships Australia’s National Infrastructure Awards.

Andrew Constance Minister for Transport and Infrastructure welcomed the award saying the ICC was a jewel in the NSW Government’s infrastructure crown.

“I am extremely proud that this Government has delivered a world class transformation to the Darling Harbour precinct with the stunning International Convention Centre at its heart,” Mr Constance said.

ICC Sydney cements Sydney as a premium choice on the world stage for major events that this nation has never before had the facilities to host.

“The NSW Government remains focused on the delivery of infrastructure that transforms our state and has a positive impact on our economy. The ICC certainly delivers on this.”

The $1.5 billion ICC Sydney was recognised for its design excellence, construction timeline and outstanding financial performance as well as delivering the nation a new and emblematic piece of business events and tourism infrastructure.

The convention centre officially opened in December 2016 and has already hosted over 170 major events including the Fast 4 Tennis Showdown and performances by Keith Urban and Nick Cave. The convention centre is also generating significant international interest with 115 global events confirmed for Sydney over the next few years.
