World's top foodies to arrive Down Under
Almost 200 top international food and wine influencers - including chefs, restaurateurs, winemakers, sommeliers and media - arrive in Australia 1st April ahead of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards.
The week-long official program, which runs from 1-8 April, involves the annual awards ceremony and numerous other events and is followed by a country-wide tour for 100 of the visiting chefs and media to take in some of Australia’s best food and wine experiences.
“The World’s 50 Best Restaurants provides the perfect platform to ensure this impressive gathering of influential food and wine figures leave our country as lifelong advocates,” said Tourism Australia Managing Director John O’Sullivan.

The QTIC Tourism Indigenous Employment Champions Network, supported by The Star Entertainment Group, aims to support tourism employers to recruit and retain Indigenous employees. The Network is a group of volunteer tourism operators that have exhibited best practice in the recruitment and retention of Indigenous employment.
Together with the Champions, QTIC have developed a range of resources for tourism operators, presented at numerous industry conferences, facilitated industry forums, provided tourism industry career path information to Indigenous students and job seekers, and identified Indigenous employment placements within the industry.
