Short-term visitor arrivals to Australia: trend estimates: Short-term visitor arrivals during March 2017 (712,800 movements) increased 0.1% compared with February 2017 (712,200 movements). This followed monthly increases of 0.3% in January 2017 and 0.2% in February 2017. The current trend estimate for arrivals is 6.5% higher than in March 2016.
During March 2017, short-term visitor arrivals (710,800 movements) decreased 0.7% compared with February 2017 (715,700 movements). This followed monthly increases of 1.1% in January 2017 and 0.3% in February 2017.
